Brazilian Folk Story

Saci Perere is a black child and one of the most famous characters from Brazilian folk stories. The Saci Perere legend was originated among the indigenous tribes in the south region of Brazil.
Saci Perere is considered to be playful but in some parts of my country he is seen as an evil being. He has one leg, smokes pipe and wears on his head a red hood that gives him magical powers like disappear and appear anywhere. Also, he turns into a bird called Mati-Tapere. This bird song echo goes in all directions making that way impossible to find its location. Saci loves to do tricks like hiding toys, pour salt on the kitten, making noises, frightens travelers and so on.
According to the legend Saci is in a swirling wind and can be caught by throughing a sieve over the swirls. After getting him one must remove his hood in order to have his obedience and keep him in a bottle. There are others saying about this legend such as the place where Sacis are born. They say they born in Bambus and live there for seven years. After this time they live seventy seven years more to annoy the humans and animals life. When they die they become mushroom.
Despite Saci’s jokes he does not practice in order to harm someone. As the myth says he is also an important knowledgeable of herbs from the forest. He controls and keeps all his knowledge. If someone enter in the forests in search of those herbs they should ask Saci’s permission, otherwise the person would became a victim of Saci’s plays.

My Ideal Vacation

The ideal vacation for me would be a trip which I am prepared for it. It is important to have a well planned shedule as have everything that could be useful there. That way I would not waste my time looking for something else. I also would like to go with one or more friends who could enjoy and be with me all the time. It is better to have someone who we can talk and explorer together. To finalize, it would be perfect to go in place that is hot with many beaches. I love swimming and going on adventures activities such as hiking riding jet ski and so on.

Barra do Una Beach

Barra do Una Beach is located 147 km from Sao Paulo city. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the north coast with crystal waters and white sands.
There you can do many things such as bout tours in the Montao de Trigo, Couves or Alcatrazes islands. It has great place for snorkeling and hiking too. It is a quite village good for walking and riding a bicycle. Another advantage of being at this small place is the easy access to the stores and supermarkets. There is no need to waste money with public transportation. Also, you can enjoy delicious and fresh sea food. Barra do Una offers direct contact with the nature. I grew up there and I loved. Everytime I go to Brazil I stay there with my family and friends.

My friend Fraud Experience

My friend Hozana had a bad experience with a nanny application on the internet. She applied to a family who lived in London. After, she started contact by email with Mr.Simon. He was a con man. First, he told her a story that his wife had died in a car accident recently, so since then he had been taking care of his two kids by himself. As a consequence, having a nanny as soon as possible, with all the experices that Hozana had while working as a baby sitter for along time would be great. Simon impressed her with this story. In addtion he promissed her free time to study and a good salary. She was so excited. When he got back with his account number, she sent him the money for the application and after that she couldn't contatc him anymore. Both number and email were not valid anymore. She felt angry because he had stolen her money and she decide to do not aplied in the internet anymore.

Best Friends

Unlike our relatives, we choose our friends. I choose them carefully because I know that a relationship with a best friend can last forever. Sometimes we may grow up with a friend like I grew up with some of my best friends Estela and Ana Claudia and others times we can disvover them later in life as I did with others best friends Talita and Tatiane. It is so good to have someone that tou can trusth and that will be there always for you. Either in sad or happy moments. I love them so much and for me they are more than best friends they are part of my family and I always says to them that " Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget".

We do love football so we love sports!! I will be there how about you? Here is a link that can show you a litle of what Brazil looks like =D

Superstition In Brazil

There are many superstition in my country Brazil. Some of them are part of daily life. Superstition is something which comes from grandparents to grandmother or between friends. A superstition person belives anything that people says. Some polupar superstiion in my country is "right foot"/. For example, we must either get in or out of some house with the "right foot" to brings luck. If you enter with the left one it means bad luck. Another superstition is "hot ear". If all of a sudden your ears get hot that would mean for us that someone has been talking about us. It doesn;t really has to be mean or good thinh. When that happens people usually starts telling some suspicious name until the ears stops getting hot. But one superstiion that I like is when your left hand scratching cause that means you are going to have an extra money. Those are some of many others superstitions we have in Brazil

Six Flags

Yesterday I and more two friends went to the theme park Six Flags in New Jersey. It was really nice and the weather was perfect. Six Flags is a really nice park and it also contains wild safari animal park and Hurricane Harbor water park. It was my third time there and I am not tired of going in all those cool rides. Six Flags its well known for its rollers coasters and thats why you can find more than fourteen differents rollers coasters. I liked almost all of them but I would like to mention three that I think you should go. They are: Kinda Ka, El Toro and Nitro. But remember, that does not aply for people who has heart problem haha just kidding. Those rides are really fast, but you should be fine!!

The So Dreamed Age in the US

One of biggest drama about teenagers living in the US is to turn 21.  Reasons are many things you can do after  this age such as  buy cars, buy home and the most important being able to legally drink alcohol.  Teenagens get so exiceted because they know they can get to any club and drink watever they want. Theire is no more need to ask someone to get it for you and miss having fun with their older friends.  I experience this situation of being unable to hang out at clubs when I moved here because I was under 21. In contrast to my country where you are allowed to drink and go out with age of eighteen.

Differences Between Brazil and the United States

Brazil and the United States have a number of differences and similiarities.  The culture in these two big countries is the main contrast between them.  People from both countries may like or dislike their own country or other, but is difficult to say which is better because it varies  from person to person.  However, it is difficulto to not realize the big differences in the culture of Brazil and the US. Life style for instance is an good example.  While in the United States people have good wage and salaries; in Brazil most of people pray to have a job that pays you well. Another contrast is conversation style.  In my country usually conversation is very dynamic and considered very noisy. It seems that everyone is talking at once while here there is a quitier way to talk and I belive they consider to be rude this noisy conversation

Family Sundays

" Family Sundays" is one of the things that i most miss from my country Brazil. It is a day when all the family would get together to talk about their week and projects, have fun, eat  and drink a good bear.. I miss this a lot because here I dont have any family member. I can remeber all the times that we spent together during those Sundays. I used to make everyone laugh and everyone used to give advice and help each other it they needed something. I miss this so much!!

The most popular food in Brazil

When people ask me about a typical  food in my country the first meal that comes to my mind is Feijoada. Hummm.. it is really good. Feijoada is prepared with black turtle beans and a variety of salted pork and beef products, such as pork ears, tail, feet, bacon, and some smoke sausage. This stew is best prepared over slow fire in a thick clay pot. It taste strong so I recommend to eat at lunch time.  It is traditionally served with white rice, and accompanied by chopped fried collard greens, and peeled and sliced orange.  Believe me it is really good =]

Packing for Miami/Brazil

Today was very busy day for me.  In addition, to the everyday activies of cleaning and organizing the kids stuff I had to pack their  bags to go to Miami and Brazil.  It might seems easy to do it but packing those bags took me a lot of time.  I had to pack two bags for the boys and two for the girls.  They are going to spend two weeks out of the United States so I had to make sure that everything they need was there.  To make easier for me I wrote down everything that they need or would be usefull on their trip.  Now, they just to pack their handbag tomorrow and they will be all set for Friday when we live for Miami for a couple of days before going to Brazil.  I am so excited as usual and may bag is ready since Monday because I can't wait to get in my country and see my family and friends!

Aspen, Colorado

Currently I am riding from Snowmass village in Aspen, Colorado.  I have been here since February 16th and I am going home tomorrow.  Aspen is a tiny village located in Colorado.  We flew here on a private jet, which was very scary at the end of the flight.  I thought I was going to die during the landing because the plane was rocking back and forth really strong.  It was the scariest landing I have ever been on a plane.  Aspen is a beautiful place, there is awsome skiing as well as awesome concert.  There are four skii mountains.  Aspen Mountain, Highlands Mountain, Buttermilk Mountain and Snowmass Mountain.  Yestarday I skied Snowmass mountain all day.  I took a lesson in beginner level three.  I learned better skii posture and focused on making turns.  It was so much fun.  I meet some new people in my class they were Alexandra from Mexico and Jim from Bahamas.  My instructoes name was Ole and he is from Niagra Falls, Canada.  During the break I ate lunch at a restaurant near the Gondola with my new friend.  After lunch i did much better and I loved that afternoon.  This morning I went to the town of Aspen to get a souvenir and do a litle sightseeing.  I looked at many stores and everything was really :"F" expensive so I decided to get a cute green and white jacket and a purple hat.  After that I came home with my friend Gisele and we started to work.  Now, I have to prepare for the return home.  It was a really exiting trip.

The Best Birthday Ever!

Turning fiften is the most important birthday for girls in my country Brazil, so consequently it was a special date for me. I remember how excited I felt at that time.  It is like no longer been a girl and changing to a teenager.  I had a really big party as most of girls does.  It had about two hundred people among them there were family and friends.  It happened in my house in Barra do Una and I loved.  I and my parents worked very hard to make a beautiful party.  We decoreted the tables, there were lots of ballows and it colors were white and orange.  To eat there was many things such as cheese bread, coxinhas, chiken pie and lots more of delicious food.  Everyone enjoyed.   To drink there was batidas, caipirinha, soft drinks.  In addition to these things we had what in my opinon was the best party of the party.  Music hehe as I mentioned in my first poster I love music and we had so much fun dancing.  The Dj was so good and everyone had a wonderful time.  I also got nice presents from everyone but more important than those presents was to have a great time with my family and friends in such special moment in my life.  I wish that could could be forever.  Well this and other good moments will be alive in my heart forever. Good moments will never be forgotten.

I loved the buildings, the yellow taxis,  the most famous stores and the several tourirsts points such Times Square and Statue of Liberty.  I also went to Aspen, Colorado where I skied for the first time. I mean I tried haha it was hard at the beginnig but I end up doing a gob job. My second time sking was in Utah also in the US.  In 2010 I visited Florida where I spend and I had the cutiest experience ever. My Passion for Music

I have passions for so many things but now I am going to write about one of them. It is the passion for listening to musics. I just love listening to music. It can be any genre of music such as forro or sertanejo from my country Brazil, or the bests black and pop musics from the United States which are my favorites ones . I dont  worry if is romantic or other rythm. I like to listen to everything. What is important for me is that is the words speaks to mee.  Sometimes I listen to relax, to think about my life and dreams. Other times i listen to music to feel happy and have fun.  I like to listen to music while I am working, having a shower and those are some reasons why i want to have music plugs all over my future house so I can listen to music anytime and anywhere at my home. The only thing that I always prefer is to listen with the loudest volume ever.  For some reasons it makes much better listenig to the music.  Althought I love to listen to music I woud not work in this profession. I am better listening than singing. I had wonderdul time in my life where I was listening to great musics so those are part of my memories too. It is so good to listen to music and I recommentd that if you do not listen to, starts doing so It will be fun!
